The Canadian Women's Foundation (Canada)
The Canadian Women's Foundation provides programs to help end violence against women by focusing on training for healthy relationships and rebuilding lives through empowerment programs and community building.

Donne In Rete Contro la Violenza (Italy)
Donne In Rete Contro la Violenza is a network of 58 antiviolence centers and women's shelters that have supported thousands of women and their children escaping violence.

Hogar de Cristo Foundation (Chile)
Hogar de Cristo Foundation provides shelters for victims of violence and this year will open a new shelter with the National Service of Women and the Police.

Sensiblu Foundation (Romania)
Sensiblu Foundation is the only non-governmental organizations in Bucharest working to prevent domestic violence through public awareness campaigns.

Cerfami (Colombia)
Cerfami works with the Medellin government to provide specialized services to victims of violence, including shelter and counseling.

Alliance of Women (Slovakia)
Alliance of Women of Slovakia monitors and translates international laws to protect women and disseminates information about legal options for victims of violence within Slovakia.

Maria Amor Foundation (Ecuador)
Maria Amor Foundation provides shelter services for victims of violence at Casa Maria Amor, and develops productive and empowering projects for survivors.

International Women Rights Centre – La Strada (Ukraine)
La Strada – Ukraine has successfully worked on the prevention of trafficking and the elimination of all forms of discrimination and violence in society since 1997.

Family Rescue, Inc (Chicago, IL)
The Believe grant will support Family Rescue, Inc.'s services for domestic violence victims and their families in the Chicago area. Last year, Family Rescue, Inc. provided services to 1,917 Chicago-area domestic violence victims and their families. This grant brings the total Avon Foundation grants awarded to Family Rescue, Inc. to more than $100,000. In Illinois from 2000 through 2010, Avon philanthropy provided nearly $39 million to breast cancer and domestic violence agencies.

Partnership Against Domestic Violence (PADV) (Atlanta, GA)
The Believe grant will support PADV's services for domestic violence victims and their families in the Atlanta community. Since 1998, the Avon Foundation has awarded PADV $500,000, enabling the organization to provide a lifeline for more than 130,000 women who have called its crisis line and to more than 8,000 who have entered one of its two safe houses. In the state of Georgia from 2000 through 2010, Avon philanthropy has provided nearly $19 million to breast cancer and domestic violence agencies.

Haven Hills (Canoga Park, CA)
The Believe grant will support Haven Hills' services for domestic violence victims and their families in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles. The grant brings the total Avon Foundation grants awarded to Haven Hills – one of the oldest domestic violence shelters in the country – to almost $100,000 since 2004. In the state of California from 2000 through 2010, Avon philanthropy has provided nearly $58 million to breast cancer and domestic violence agencies.

Safe Haven of Tarrant County (Ft. Worth, TX)
The Believe grant will support Safe Haven's services for domestic violence victims and their families in the Texas communities of Ft. Worth, and Arlington and Tarrant Counties. Avon's funding will support Safe Haven's efforts to provide a lifeline for more than 50,000 women who call their crisis line annually and to more than 2,500 who will enter one of Safe Haven's two emergency shelters in Ft. Worth and Arlington. Between 2000 and 2010, Avon philanthropy has provided nearly $8 million to breast cancer and domestic violence agencies in the state of Texas.

HELP USA (New York, NY)
The Believe grant will support HELP USA's services for domestic violence victims and their families in the New York metropolitan area. This new grant brings the total Avon Foundation grants awarded to HELP USA to $140,000 since 2004. Between 2000 and 2010, Avon philanthropy has provided nearly $121 million to breast cancer and domestic violence agencies in the state of New York.

ANNA, the National Center for the Prevention of Violence in Russia (Moscow, Russia)
The grant will support ANNA’s services for domestic violence victims and their families in Moscow. ANNA, the National Center for the Prevention of Violence in Russia, is a regional, non-governmental organization focused on the prevention of violence and the development of services for women survivors of violence. Through its programs, ANNA provides legal, emotional, psychological, and informational support to domestic violence survivors; conducts educational and prevention programs in the community; works with the media to raise awareness; and advocates for changes in legislation and public opinion on a local, regional, and national level. In March 2011, ANNA partnered with Avon Russia to create Russia’s first National Help Line for Women.

Maple Women’s Psychological Counseling Center (Shanghai, China)
The grant will allow Maple Women’s Psychological Counseling Center to continue supporting victims of domestic violence. The funds will be used to strengthen the outreach of the Avon Foundation for Women, through a nationwide public information campaign developed to raise public awareness of the issue of domestic violence. This campaign will be co-branded “Speak Out Against Domestic Violence with Avon.”

Asociación Argentina de Prevención de la Violencia Familiar (Buenos Aires, Argentina)
The grant will support Asociación Argentina de Prevención de la Violencia Familiar’s (AAPVF) services for domestic violence victims and their families in Argentina. AAPVF is a membership organization of professionals, researchers, teachers, and volunteers who work to prevent domestic and family violence and assist survivors. The organization conducts research, provides workshops and seminars, and offers direct counseling to victims.

People Opposing Women Abuse (Johannesburg, South Africa)
The grant will support People Opposing Women Abuse (POWA) to continue its work to support victims of domestic violence. POWA is working to create a safer society that does not tolerate violence against women—one where women are powerful, self-reliant, equal and respected.

Associação Mulheres pela Paz (Brazilian Peace Women Organization) (São Paulo, Brazil)
The grant will support Brazilian Peace Women Organization’s services for domestic violence victims and their families in São Paulo. Brazilian Peace Women Organization is a non-governmental organization that aims to strengthen and disseminate a culture of peace through the development of gender equality, citizenship and human rights. Its mission is to bring women and men into a network which pursues peace in everyday life and works to disarm gender violence, especially domestic violence.

Red Nacional de Refugios (Mexico City, Mexico)
The Believe grant will support Red Nacional de Refugios' services for victims of domestic violence. Red Nacional de Refugios began in November 2004 with the aim of bringing together refuges, offering security, protection and specialized care for women and their children who live at risk of domestic, gender-based or sexual violence, or who have been victims of human trafficking.

Blue Line (Warsaw, Poland)
The grant will support Blue Line’s services for domestic violence victims and their families in Warsaw. Blue Line (Stowarzyszenia Niebieska Linia), founded in 1995, is a Polish nationwide emergency organization dedicated to preventing domestic violence against women and children with programs such as the first ever country-wide media campaign titled "Stop the Violence."

Women's Aid (London, U.K.)
The Believe grant will support Women's Aid's services for victims of domestic violence and be used to help fund more than 500 local Women's Aid service locations around the United Kingdom. Women's Aid is one of only two major domestic violence agencies in the United Kingdom.

CREA (New Delhi, India)
The grant will support CREA, a women's human rights organization and allow it to continue its work to support victims of domestic violence. CREA empowers women and girls to articulate, demand and access their human rights by enhancing women's leadership, strengthening civil society organizations, influencing social movements and creating networks for social change.

Women's Crisis Center (Manila, Philippines)
The grant will support Women’s Crisis Center (WCC) as it continues its work to support victims of domestic violence. WCC provides services to women and children who are domestic violence victims and survivors, including: a phone hotline for anonymous callers, crisis intervention counseling, temporary shelter for victims escaping abusive situations and a training institute for family violence prevention.

Instituto Maria da Penha (Ceará Brazil)
The grant will support Instituto Maria da Penha’s services for domestic violence victims and their families in the Northeastern state of Ceará. It will help further the program’s mission to protect victims of violence, educate women’s health professionals, empower women to stand up for their rights and encourage victims to seek help and become self-sufficient.
