Breast Cancer Funding
As part of the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade, the Avon Foundation for Women provides funding to breast cancer programs operating in three areas: scientific research, safety net access-to-care programs for the medically underserved, and outreach programs focused on education and screening.
Through 2012, the Crusade has raised and distributed more than $780 million in awards to breast cancer programs around the world, supporting cutting-edge research to find a cure for or prevent breast cancer, as well as programs that enable patients to access quality care.
Safety Net
Program
The Avon Foundation Safety Net Funding Initiative supports regional and community hospitals to enable medically underserved women to access post-screening diagnostics and care.
Breast Health
Outreach Program
The Avon Foundation Breast Health Outreach Program (formerly the Avon Foundation Breast Care Fund) supports community-based organizations in their efforts to provide outreach, offer breast health education, and link women and men to screening services and follow-up care with local medical providers.
