Donation and Funding General Guidelines:
The Avon Foundation provides grants to organizations and institutions, predominantly 501(c)(3) or equivalent, in the areas outlined in our mission statement: breast cancer, domestic violence and emergency disaster relief.
If there is an open request for proposal (RFP) available, your application must be sent electronically through the online grants submission system and will no longer be accepted via mail, fax or email.
The Avon Foundation does not provide grants to the following:
- Individuals or programs that benefit specific individuals
- Religious organizations
- Political organizations, campaigns or candidates
- Personal fundraising or fees for special events (runs, walk-a-thons, etc.)
- Programs outside the U.S. except through special Avon Foundation initiatives
U.S. Domestic Violence Grant Guidelines
The Avon Foundation for Women does not currently have any Domestic Violence grant opportunities. In 2012, we plan to build upon and expand existing Avon Foundation-funded pilot project grants that support model programs in the following areas: financial empowerment for DV Survivors, dating abuse prevention programs implemented on college and university campuses, and direct services provided by DV shelters and programs in the U.S. and globally. Because the DV initiatives we identified and funded in 2011 require longer term funding commitments to identify new strategies that adequately support the needs of DV Survivors, we will not be able to divert funds to any new projects outside those already funded.

Global Domestic Violence Grant Guidelines
The Avon Foundation for Women prioritizes and funds the work of U.S. based agencies or in selected cases, the global programs of U.S. nonprofits. Unfortunately we do not have the resources to consider direct grants to organizations outside the U.S.
Avon Domestic Violence philanthropy has expanded beyond the U.S. to nearly 50 countries where Avon does business around the world. Each Avon country raises their own funds, largely through the sale of special products, and donates those funds to local organizations in their respective countries for Avon’s two causes. If there is an Avon business in your country, we encourage you to contact it to inquire about requesting support.
