New Request For Proposals Announced
In 2014 the Avon Foundation for Women seeks to expand its Avon Domestic Violence Survivor Empowerment Program for a fourth year. Eligible applicants must be U.S.-based Operational or Developing Family Justice Centers (FJC) or agencies primarily providing domestic violence services in partnership with an FJC, or operating within or working with another co-located, multi-agency service delivery model.

Program Funding
To be considered for funding, agencies must complete an online application by Friday, July 12, 2013 at midnight EDT. Applicants will be notified about their status by October 1. Up to 20 grants ($65,000 each maximum) for 2014 programs will be awarded in December 2013. The funding period will be from January 1, 2014 - December 31, 2014.

Breakthrough Bystander
Behavior Training Programs

New Request For Proposals Announced
The Avon Foundation for Women will fund the development of, and assist in launching, a comprehensive series of targeted prevention and intervention training tools to help bystanders recognize, respond and make appropriate referrals in situations when partner abuse, dating abuse, or sexual assault are suspected or observed.

New proposals are requested from 501(c)(3) nonprofit agencies, government agencies or training specialists agencies, to advance the goal of developing awareness and skills training tools that will help prevent domestic and partner violence and sexual assault by:

  • Creating Breakthrough Bystander Behavior Training Programs
  • Delivering those Programs through employers to significant numbers of employees, in collaboration with local experts identified by the NO MORE coalition

This program’s partnership with the national NO MORE coalition, consisting of hundreds of domestic violence and sexual assault service and advocacy agencies across the country, will ensure that companies will have access to local experts to assist in presenting this educational opportunity.

Program Funding
To be considered for funding, agencies must complete an online application by Friday July 19, 2013 at midnight EST. Applicants will be notified about their status no later than August 31. Up to 4 grants ($125,000 each maximum) will be awarded in October 2013. The funding period will be from October 1, 2013 – September 30, 2014.
