Avon Walk Around the World for Breast Cancer
The Avon Walk Around the World for Breast Cancer began in 2005 bringing grassroots activism to a global scale. This worldwide series of events began mobilizing hundreds of thousands of people across the globe raising money and breaking down barriers to awareness and access to care while working to eradicate the disease.

To date, 800,000 people have participated in raising more than $7.6 million for the breast cancer cause since the global series began.

Avon Walk for Breast Cancer
The Avon Walk for Breast Cancer is a series of nine, weekend-long walk events held in major cities across the U.S. where thousands of people come together unified in the goal to raise awareness and vital funds to ensure that all women and men get the screening, support and treatment they need, and to accelerate the work of leading research teams in their quest for better treatment, improved detection and a cure. More than 500,000 donors contribute to Avon Walkers annually. Since its launch in 2003 the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer has raised more than $320 million though the dedication of over 120,000 walk participants and volunteers.

The Love/Avon Army of Women
The Love/Avon Army of Women is driven by two key partnerships that will accelerate the research necessary to discover ways to prevent breast cancer: a partnership between the Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation and the Avon Foundation for Women, and a partnership between scientists and women.

Annual Breast Cancer Forums and Conferences
Each year the Avon Foundation for Women brings together breast cancer experts, community health educators, nurse navigators, physicians and scientists from around the United States to discuss the latest in breast cancer research, early detection and prevention strategies, as well as to discuss the latest clinical data and to examine programs that link breast cancer prevention, screening and treatment for underserved and minority populations. These groups of breast cancer experts represent major cancer centers, academic medical centers and universities, public hospitals and community organizations.

An important goal of the annual Avon Breast Cancer Conferences is to provide the most recent breast cancer information that organizations can take home and use to improve their patients' lives.

Annual Awards Gala:
This special evening brings together over 500 guests, including leaders from the fields of health and science, beauty and fashion, media and community service to celebrate Avon's philanthropic efforts and partners, while serving as a significant fund raiser to eradicate breast cancer and reduce violence against women.

The Avon Foundation was launched in 1955 with a single scholarship of $400 and through 2009, Avon philanthropic programs have raised and awarded more than $725 million to support our signature programs worldwide. Since 2001 the Annual Awards celebration has raised more than $17.8 million.

The 2009 event was held at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City, and presenters included Reese Witherspoon, Patrick Dempsey, Courteney Cox and Lauren Conrad. Sponsors and guests also enjoyed a special performance by Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas.

Speak Out Against Domestic Violence Speak Out Against Domestic Violence
One in four women in the U.S. will become a victim of abuse or partner violence in her life. Teens and young women experience the highest rates of relationship violence and partner abuse. To help end this devastating cycle, Speak Out Against Domestic Violence was launched in 2004 to build awareness, to educate, and to develop and implement prevention and direct service programs.

Funds and visibility are raised through the sale of special Speak Out and Empowerment fundraising products and Public Service Announcements. Through the end of 2011, in the U.S. alone, we have provided more than $28 million for the domestic violence cause.
